1. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the NourishNot mobile application, the nourishnot.app website, the beta waitlist, and contact or support forms.

2. Information collected in the app

2.1 Check-in and wellness information

When you use the app, you may voluntarily record information such as:

• Apple Test or hunger-reflection responses;
• moods, emotions, cravings, and actions taken;
• sleep information and other contextual entries;
• the time and circumstances surrounding a check-in.

2.2 Location information

If you grant location permission, NourishNot may use precise location at the time of a check-in to help identify environmental patterns. Location access should remain optional and can be changed through your device settings.

2.3 App usage information

NourishNot may collect limited, anonymized usage information to understand which features are used and to improve app performance. Where an opt-out is available, it can be managed in app settings.

3. Information collected on the website

The app does not require a user account. However, the website collects information when you voluntarily submit it.

• Waitlist: email address, mailing consent, and optional interest in Pro.
• Contact form: name, email address, subject, message, and any optional attachment.
• Technical security data: the hosting or form infrastructure may temporarily process standard request information needed to prevent abuse and deliver the service.

4. How information is used

• To provide craving tracking, pattern reports, coaching, sleep analysis, predictions, and export features;
• to send requested beta-access and product updates;
• to answer contact and support requests;
• to improve product quality, reliability, and usability;
• to protect the service from fraud, spam, and misuse.

5. Data storage

App logs are stored locally on your device by default. Waitlist and contact submissions are processed by NourishNot’s backend infrastructure and retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which they were collected.

Pro features that use AI, synchronization, prediction, or report generation may require limited processing beyond the device. Before those features launch, this policy should be updated with the exact providers, data flows, storage locations, and retention periods.

6. Data sharing

NourishNot does not sell personal information and does not share it with advertisers for targeted advertising.

Information may be processed by service providers that support hosting, email delivery, form handling, security, analytics, or future AI functionality. Those providers should receive only the information necessary to perform their services and be bound by appropriate contractual obligations.

You may choose to export or share your own reports. NourishNot does not control information after you share it with another person or service.

7. Your choices and rights

• View and manage app data stored on your device;
• delete app data through available app controls;
• decline or revoke location permission;
• unsubscribe from marketing emails;
• request access, correction, or deletion of information submitted through the website.

8. Children's privacy

NourishNot is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Security

NourishNot uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No digital system can guarantee absolute security, so users should also protect their devices and exported files.

10. Changes to this policy

Material changes may be communicated through the app, website, or email when appropriate. The effective date above will be updated when this policy changes.
